Offer for patients from Germany

Treatment of patients insured with German health insurance funds

Due to our close proximity to Germany, at our Stomatologia Chrobrego we encourage patients with German insurance to use our services. German Insurance coverage allows reimbursement for many dental procedures. German health insurance funds and companies (Krankenkasse) / Krankenversicherung) reimburse the costs of conservative and prosthetic treatment carried out in Poland in whole or in substantial part.

Benefits to Patients

  • You can obtain a high reimbursement of prosthetic treatment costs with documented regular follow-up visits (so-called Bonusheft).
  • With the standard treatment option, you can receive prosthetic restorations virtually free of charge.
  • In the case of above-standard or additional treatment, the scope and budget of the service are agreed individually, while savings compared to the costs you would incur in Germany can reach 60 - 80 %.

Procedure

We first carry out a dental and radiological examination in our practice, after which we propose the optimal prosthetic treatment. By radiological examination is meant the taking and analysis of dental x-rays. X-rays are taken on site. You will find the price list for your visit on our website. An individual Treatment and cost plan (Heil- und Kostenplan / HKP) is created. The patient must visit our practice located in Stargard in person. It is not possible to create an HKP on the basis of a telephone call or video conference.

The completed HKP on a special form, together with the X-ray images of your teeth, must be sent by post to the health insurance funds in Germany, or delivered in person.

The German health insurance fund will inform you by letter of the amount of reimbursement granted. From this point onwards, the time for treatment is calculated, which is 6 months. If, for some reason, the patient does not fit within this period and has not yet completed the treatment, a new HKP must be submitted to the health insurance fund.

Once you have received a letter from the health insurance fund with a decision on the amount of reimbursement granted, you can start treatment. The health insurance fund does not settle accounts with us directly, so patients must first pay the full cost of treatment with us before receiving reimbursement. The amount can be settled in zloty or in Euros (according to the current exchange rate of the National Bank of Poland), in cash or by credit card.

After completion of the treatment, patients must send or personally deliver to the German health insurance fund the bills for the treatment together with proof of payment. Proofs can be receipts, or invoices issued in the patient's name.

Upon receipt of the medical bills with proof of payment, the German health insurance fund will pay the previously granted reimbursement amount by transfer directly to the patient's account.

Heil- und Kostenplan

German prosthetic treatment plan:

The form, on the basis of which patients are billed to German health insurance funds, includes an overview of the patient's mouth, a proposal for a standard and planned prosthetic treatment plan, the reimbursement requested and an estimate of the cost.

The dentist inspects the patient's dental condition and symbolically describes the planned prosthetic treatment. In the fields of the form provided for this purpose, the dentist places the appropriate symbols.

Part I of the form contains fields corresponding to specific teeth.

In line B, symbols describing the condition of the dentition are entered.

The R line contains a symbolic description of the basic treatment for which reimbursement is possible.

In the TP line, symbols are entered to describe the planned prosthetic treatment, which may differ from the basic treatment (e.g. have a higher standard).

Box II of the form is used to enter the symbols of the reimbursement requested, matching the basic treatment from line R above.

In Part III of the form, the dentist enters the planned costs of prosthetic treatment.

Urgent treatment - information

If a patient insured with the German health insurance fund is in Poland, e.g. on holiday, and has a toothache, he or she can be reimbursed for dental treatment of the painful tooth. The patient must first pay for such treatment and, in order to be reimbursed, he/she will receive the treatment bills printed in German from us. The bills must be sent by post or the patient must go in person and state that the treatment was urgent due to pain.
